New Orthodontist in Bedford and Sackville

Orthodontist joins The Brace Space

New at The Brace Space

Dr. Declan Hennessey, a highly sought-after Orthodontist, will be joining the practise family of Dr. Sarah Davidson and Dr. Dan Stuart at The Brace Space. He will be working in both the Bedford and Sackville locations. We are thrilled to finally be able to make this announcement after a long Covid-delay.

Dr. Hennessey was born in the highlands of Scotland, but grew up in Donegal, Ireland. He, his wife Dr. Jenni McFarland, and their cat Larry, have fallen in love with Nova Scotia and feel very much at home in their new community. Their first and only visit to Nova Scotia was to have his interview at The Brace Space, last spring. Since their 2 week quarantine in October, they have started exploring. They are finding that Nova Scotia suits them well, as they enjoy walks on the beach, hiking, swimming and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Hennessey is a strong believer in giving back to both local and international communities. He previously volunteered as a dentist with charities in Cambodia. His sincere approach, knowledge and his interest in the well being of our patients makes him a perfect fit for our clinics and our teams in both The Brace Space locations.

Dr. Hennessey obtained his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Science degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. He worked as a general dentist for 4 years, at a private practice in Dublin. During this time, he successfully completed his membership exams for the Faculty of Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland. Dr. Hennessey completed his residency and obtained his Masters of Science in Orthodontics at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Hennessy has presented the results of his research on Invisalign at prominent orthodontic conferences.

He is a board certified Orthodontist and a published author.

We are pleased to welcome this couple to not only to The Brace Space, but also to our communities of Bedford, Sackville and surrounding areas.
